Mystery Hike at Farmington Hills Nature Center
Heavner Nature Connection invites you and your young ones to join us at the Farmington Hills Nature Center every Tuesday at 10:30 am for some hands-on outdoor exploration. Kids of all ages will go on an imaginary kayak trip, take a guided nature hike in the woods, and learn about many animals we see here in Michigan. What animal it will be each week is a mystery!
This 45-minute program – which begins on June 20, 2017 and runs through August 22 – is FREE, yet the experience is priceless. There is nothing better than learning and having fun at the same time.
Come early or stay after to see all that is inside the Nature Center, which has interpretive exhibits reflecting our natural world such as a life-sized animal habitat, a backyard habitat bird viewing area, native fish aquariums, a nature library and activity table, as well as small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. The Nature Center is located within Heritage Park, a beautiful 211-acre park with 4.5 miles of trails for hiking and nature study, a youth playground, a splash pad, and much more.
